Led by Héctor M. Reyes Rivera, PhD, JD, a Registered Patent Attorney and Notary Public, the firm combines scientific insight, USPTO patent examination experience, and legal judgment to guide clients through patent and trademark matters.

REYES LAW SERVICES group is located in San Juan, Puerto Rico and is managed by Héctor M Reyes Rivera, PhD JD.
Dr. Reyes Rivera obtained his bachelor’s degree Magna Cum Laude in Natural Sciences, Major in Chemistry from the University of Puerto Rico in 1987, and his Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 1994. Dr. Reyes Rivera obtained his Juris Doctor in 2000 from the University of Puerto Rico School of Law.
After completing his law degree, Dr. Reyes Rivera entered the practice of Patent Law as a Patent Examiner at the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), where he was trained at the USPTO Patent Academy and where he devoted himself to and was responsible for examining multiple patent applications for close to five years. In 2003, Dr. Reyes Rivera was admitted as a Registered Patent Attorney in the United States. In 2006, Dr. Reyes Rivera was also admitted as a Notary Public in the Jurisdiction of Puerto Rico.
Since 2005, Dr. Reyes Rivera has been working with Clients and Inventors, focusing his Patent practice on the jurisdiction of the United States of America (USPTO) and the practice of registration and protection of trademarks both in the USA and in Puerto Rico.
We offer our services in both English and Spanish to Clients both in Puerto Rico and abroad. We have assisted Clients in Trademark and Patent matters in various jurisdictions such as the United States of America, Spain, the European Union, India, China, and various jurisdictions in the Caribbean and Latin America.
